Kimberly Martinsons


Kimberly Martinsons is a registered professional counselor and is currently a student in the Synergetic Play Therapy certification program. Kim received her undergraduate degree in English at the University of California at Berkeley and completed her graduate degrees in Psychology and Counseling Psychology at Columbia University in New York City. She is certified to teach elementary education and has worked as a teacher, activities supervisor and owned her own tutoring business. Kim has also taught English-As- A-Second- Language

Founder, Executive Director, Instructor & Supervisor

Kathleen is trained in Synergetic Play Therapy, modern psychoanalysis, DBT and EMDR. She specializes in working with LGBTQ youth, child abuse and adoptive/foster families. Kathleen holds a Certificate in Therapy with Adoptive and Foster Families. She completed a Clinical Fellowship at CU Boulder where she focused on trauma treatment. She received her BA from Wesleyan University and MSW from Smith School for Social Work.  You can usually find Kathleen on a bike, a yoga mat or taking a nap in the forest (she really likes sleeping outside).
